The T-beam for a floor system shown in the figure has the following properties: bf= 820 mm,
mm, and d=550 mm. The beams are 5m long and the slab thickness is 100 mm. It carries a un
dead load of 50 kN/m(including its own weight), live load of 60 kN/m, and a concentrated fac
50kN at a distance a from the left support. Use fc'=27 MPa, fy=415 MPa. Calculate the requir
steel area for the maximum moment.

T- BEAMS INSTRUCTIONS / USER NOTES

1.) Select the Year of the Code to be used. The available codes are 2001 and 2015 respectively.

2.) Input all the values inside the blue-shaded cells. Yellow shaded cells are computed
automatically. Double check the values being typed inside the cells for more accurate answer.
Use the legend below as a guide.

3.) The program will automatically compute the Ultimate moment to be resisted by the
designed beam.

4.) The Beam Compression Block Analysis dictates how the analysis was made. It tells us if
the beam's compression block is greater or lesser than the thickness of the Flange.

5.) All data encoded should be in SI Units.

6.) The program is not suitable for problems with both tension and compression steel did not
yield. The program is applicable for either of the two steels yielded, or either of them did not
yield.
