LEARNING CONTRACT

What is a learning contract?

A learning contract, also called a goals contract, can help set transparent expectations for
learners. Learning contracts specify behaviors and habits for success and can promote learner
reflection on how they learn. They are shared at the beginning of the semester to clarify
expectations for the online classes.

I am taking part in this learning contract because I aim to meet the standards in all my
subjects.

The strategies listed here will help me to learn the material and perform well in my subjects.
This contract is in effect through the end of the current semester.

I am committed to complete the following actions:

1) I will attend and participate in all my classes.

2) I will stay at home during my scheduled Online Class and Quality Independent
Learning Time (QuILT).
3) I will focus on my online class/QuILT; I will refrain from using gadgets during these
times.
4) I will do the assigned activities during the Quality Independent Learning Time.
5) I will complete my assessments during the submission period.
6) I will cooperate with my groupmates in group activities because I understand that this
develops my 21st century collaborative skills.
7) I will communicate with my teacher and my class adviser during Quality Independent
Learning Time sessions if I encounter challenges in my subjects.
8) I will abide with the set guidelines in the academic primer, including the copyrights of
the courseware materials.
9) I will provide the correct and updated contact information of my parents to my class
adviser.
10) I will inform my parent of my academic performance.
11) I will turn on my camera during online classes as this maximizes my learning and
interaction with my teacher and my classmates.
In cases that I will not be able to turn on my camera during online conferences, I will
attend the succeeding Quality Independent Learning Time session so that I will be
guided by my teacher.
12) I, together with my parents/guardians will promptly respond to reports from subject
teachers, adviser, and/or strand chairs that concern my academic and non-academic
performance
13) I, together with my parent will check email messages regularly to keep us posted of
my academic performance and will acknowledge receipt of messages from the school.
14) In cases of absences, I, together with my parent, will immediately communicate with
my class adviser, my concerned subject teachers and my strand chairperson through email
on the day of my absence. I will send an excuse letter with supporting documents so that
my teachers can assist me as soon as possible. I understand that I will be given make-up
assessments only if I am able to comply with the guidelines.
