Being human, we are flawed beings - individuals who constantly sin. Sin in the religious standpoint, is where humans do willful
acts that go against the laws and teachings dictated by God. As punishment, sin brings about death and destruction. All things
equated with eternal doom, supposedly. Yet God being all-too forgiving repeatedly gave humanity a chance for redemption
through repentance and faith in Him. Salvation is when human is truly, finally, free from sin and as easy as it is verbalized – it
requires painful acknowledgement of the mistakes did in the lifetime and counting. With all the centuries that had long passed,
Salvation compounded its very own history to which it ultimately proves that God loves humankind in an extent unexplainable,
his love remains unconditional.

Tracing up the very beginning, in Genesis 1&2, The Creation, the very first mistake was the disobedience of Adam & Eve which
was the reason why they were banished from the Garden of Eden – where everything was perfect, free from suffering, death and
agony alike. The first sin which separated human and God, and throughout time the rift continues to widen only that God
continues to give chances. It was the catalyst to the long lists of fault committed continuously as humankind’s lack of faith in
Him made them turn their backs and only with suffering would they face Him again and beg for his forgiveness. A continuous
loop reoccurring through generations in the recorded centuries. From the children of Adam and Eve and their children’s children
so on and so forth the same pattern exists written in the Bible. However, God as forgiving as he seems also brings relentless
punishment as depicted in the infamous Noah’s Ark, to which he let Noah save only his family and the animals (2 of each kind)
and eradicated the rest. After that, there was a covenant (contract or promise with God) that no flood shall happen ever again
symbolized with the rainbow, as the calm after the storm. Sin and salvation played a significant role in the political climate in the
early times, as covenants included thrones such that of King David with his Dynasty, a prominent figure just right before the birth
of Christ. The disputes entrails gore and bloody prints in the history manifested in slavery, genocides, human sacrificed and many
more. Somehow the compounding of suffering and deaths throughout may have pulled the last string between the connection of
God and Humanity, until the Messiah – the word of his existence soon coming through shed light to humankind that despite the
uncountable sins they made, they still had a chance of saving. Jesus Christ, the Son of God, was both human and God – who bore
the sins of humanity in his shoulders died in the cross and soon rose from the dead concurring death, sin and Satan all at once.

With sin, there is God’s love. And with love, there is forgiveness through God’s grace and human’s faith. In the modern times,
where the end is near, there may be another catastrophe awaiting to happen and as a reminder that repentance is a must to be
saved from the concupiscence innate in the human nature. It doesn’t have to be the same sacrifice as the old times. It can be done
in the simplest ways such as praying and going to church, a place that shouldn’t be feared or avoided. After all, the church isn’t a
museum of saints but rather, a hospital for sinners.
