British wildlife in peril
Through the centuries we have hunted many animals to extinction, for their meat or
fur or feathers. But nowadays man ́s activities are having a deadly effect on our
planet as well as on wildlife and we are rapidly changing the face of the countryside.
In Britain over the last 40 years or so, many animals’ habitats have been lost.
Hedges and verges were shelter and food for all six species of British reptiles (3
kinds of snakes and 3 kinds of lizards), for at least half our butterflies and
bumblebees, and around 40 of our 200 species of breeding birds.

We have drained wetlands, reclaimed estuaries, and fell trees. There is a danger at
otters, butterflies, owls and plants, they may be lost forever. The chemical
fertilizers and pesticides now used so freely that are polluting the water, food and
air.

The good news is that there are numerous peoples working on preserving our
natural world to make sure that their children and grandchildren will be able to see
real life, not just photographs of the animals.

The majestic sea eagle, one of the fourth largest eagles of the world, was once very
common in Britain. Over the last 100 years or so there has been increasing
pressure
on its habitat, it has been killed by shepherds and gamekeepers, and its eggs have
been stolen by collectors. In 1918 the very last British sea eagle was shot.

Good afternoon, my name is Luis Enrique and today I will describe the city of Villa el
Salvador, of which it is a district that is located to the south of Lima, divided in
urbanizations, sectors, groups and blocks.
The best places to visit is the zonal park that it has with a very wide extension, of which
it has a small lake. The district has a beach area that is visited a lot by the inhabitants.
The climate is characterized by being subtropical, it is arid, semi warm and cloudy at
different times of the year, with an average temperature that fluctuates between 15 ºC
and 23ºC, the extreme values correspond to the months of January and July. One of the
characteristics of Villa el Salvador since its foundation was that it was one of the few
popular cities built in a planned manner.
