Students have been inundated with several fees that they must purchase in order to complete

their studies. After graduation, not everyone passes the license exam, which presents another
challenge for prospective health professionals. When you are hired as a nurse, you will be paid
barely above minimum wage. Even if your medical facility would like to pay you more, the funds
are insufficient to do so. Money is only available in the form of promissory notes for many
Filipinos due to their low purchasing power.

Most of the healthcare workers, however, are stuck with their low salary due to the
aforementioned factors. They will be motivated to travel overseas by success stories. Because
Filipinos have a low purchasing power. However, hospitals are unable to raise their pricing,
which implies that the workers’ pay is frozen. They will continue to be driven abroad, with the
Philippines serving as a training ground for these professionals.

Students have been inundated with several fees that they must purchase in order to complete
their studies. After graduation, not everyone passes the license exam, which presents another
challenge for prospective health professionals. According to Flores et al., 2020, when you are
hired as a nurse, you will be paid barely above minimum wage. Even if your medical facility
would like to pay you more, the funds are insufficient to do so. Money is only available in the
form of promissory notes for many Filipinos due to their low purchasing power.

With all of this in mind, medical workers receive insufficient government backing. Currently,
there are no incentives or rewards in place to assist medical personnel. We need to raise their
pay. Enhance the amount of money available for their pay. Hayag (2015) also stated, that in
order to raise finances, the hospital's prices must rise, but due to the average Filipino's limited
purchasing power, this is not achievable. To address the issue of nurse compensation, hospital
management must find another viable source of revenue, which the HTAC would enable the
hospital to do today with the Universal Health Care Bill. The government should investigate it
more thoroughly and devote more resources to it. On critical issues, a cut in the DOH's funding
will only make it more difficult to find a proper solution to the problem. The Department of
Health, PhilHealth, in collaboration with private institutions and after adequate consultation
with the Filipino people and medical personnel, must band together to develop answers to
medical concerns
