The Donkey Who Didn’t Give Up

Once, a farmer’s donkey fell into a well.

For several hours, it piteously yelled.
The farmer tried to figure out a way to get the poor donkey out but to no avail.
Finally, the farmer decided it was impossible.
To retrieve the old donkey was really improbable.
And anyway, the old well was dry, so it just wasn’t worth to give it a try.
The neighbors came to help cover up the well with the dirt they threw in from their shovel.
With the dirt hit the donkey, it cried horribly but a few shovels later, it brayed happily.
Astonished, the farmer from the top looked down what he saw inside the well, made him frown.
The donkey was shaking off the dirt that hit his back and he was starting to take a few steps up.
Pretty soon, the old donkey appeared at the edge of the well, as the people cheered, he trotted off the dirty but happy and
proud watched by an unbelieving crowd.
The moral of the tale is never to give up. Shake the dirt off and take a step up.
