absentees.)
“Thank you! So, before we start our lesson, I want
you to form two groups and play a game. The
first group who will have the highest score will
win some small prize. Are you ready?”
(The students form two groups.)
“Yes, Teacher. We are ready.”
(The teacher will open the website on two laptops
and let the groups answer the timed game.)
(The pupils will play the game for 90 seconds.)

(The teacher will give reward to both groups.)


“Congratulations to our winning group. They
scored ____. But before we reward them, let us
give consolation prizes to the other group. So,
here’s your small prize. Please give to each of
your members.”
(The pupils will receive the rewards.)
B. Analysis
“Okay, class. Settle down please. What did you
notice on the writings on the scoops of ice
cream?”
“The scoops of ice cream are the causes.”

“That’s right. These are the causes. How about the


those written on the cones? What is it about?”

“The words on the cones shows the effects.”


“Correct! The scoops of ice cream show the
causes and the cones shows its effects.”
C. Abstraction
“Based on the activity, what is cause?”
“Teacher, cause is why something happened and it
always come first.”
“Great answer! How about effect? What is it?”
“Effect is what happened or the result of the first
event.”
“Amazing! Since you now know the difference
between the two, can you give me the cause or
effect of the pictures?
“Yes, teacher.”
(The pupils will give what is asked based on the
pictures shown.)
“Spectacular! Now you are ready for the next
activity.”
D. Application
“In this activity, you will only work on pairs and
paste the following in its respective columns. Are
you ready?”
“Yes, teacher.”
“Okay, now go to your partners.”
(The pupils will go to their respective partners.)

activity sheet.)
