TOPIC: DEPRESSION

Depression. The term "depression" is one that we use so frequently

today. It's a term we use to describe a variety of experiences, such as
feeling overburdened or having a poor day, but as anyone who has
experienced depression can attest, it encompasses far more than any
other emotion. It can be really scary at times too, its when a person's life
is gradually taken over to the point where they just want to give up. It
may start out undetectable, followed by minute alterations, which cause
much larger ones, before the infamous black cloud suddenly appears
overhead.

Depression is when everything feels difficult, this is when the things you
used to enjoy are no longer enjoyable, when you find it increasingly
difficult to wake up in the morning, and you find it difficult to fall asleep
at night, but you still need to sleep to survive, so you would force
yourself to sleep even though it is already 4 a.m some even cry
themselves to sleep. All of these are experiences that I had never
anticipated having. I never thought I would feel depressed to the point
where I didn't even want to get out of bed because I was too unhappy to
accomplish anything.

It takes a lot of effort to do minor tasks. And the pressure to do anything

is even bigger. People frequently advise people to talk to someone or that
they would say that everything is in their heads and that they should not
let it get to them, but how do you put words on when it's so difficult to
grasp oneself? How do you explain to someone that you don't want to live
any longer or that you want to enjoy your life but are unsure how to?

Depression first is a response. a response to a life you could never have

imagined having. It is a refusal to accept the way things are or were.
Lack of self-care and excessive self-giving are the causes. The inability to
handle what life has to offer you any longer. It’s the deep sadness and
regret, its all of this and much more. We are not always aware of why it
is happening because of how slowly and quietly it sneaks up on us.

So I just want to express that I hope things grow easier for anyone who
can relate to my remarks. I'm hoping you can escape from this. I'm
hoping you regain your sense of control. Many people experience
depression and and has recover from it and is now having the best time
of their lives. So, I wish you luck in finding someone who can relate to
your situation. Since hope is one of the things that vanishes with
depression, I'll hold out hope for you in the interim until you rediscover it
for yourself.
