Superman Editor Mike Carlin notes that it has been 30 years since Superman returned to life in Adventures of Superman #500. At around the same time, the BBC Radio 5 was producing an audio movie adaptation of the story called "Superman - Doomsday & Beyond" in the UK and "Superman Lives" in the US. The producer thanks Mike Carlin and Phyllis Hume at DC Comics for their 100% support of the radio adaptation project. The producer also shares photos from a recent reunion with actors from DC radio productions, past and present.

Superman Editor Mike Carlin tells me it is 30 years ago on Friday
(April 14th, 1993) that SUPERMAN's return to life began in ADVENTURES OF SUPERMAN #500, and on the 'old' BBC Radio 5 we were making the Audio Movie of the story almost as the same time as it was being written ('Superman - Doomsday & Beyond' - UK title / 'Superman Lives' - US title). This was thanks entirely to Mike and dear Phyllis Hume at DC Comics who supported us 100%. As it happens just the other day Lesley and I got together for a reunion with 'the family' - a whole bunch of the UK, US and Canadian actors from the casts of our DC productions old and new, so here are photos from that happy evening with a who's who - we look forward to the next one, as soon as we sober up ...
