As a senior high school student at Judge Feliciano Belmonte Senior High School ,
I, Rain Ardhie A. Calimag. I am interested in engaging in work immersion in your
company. As a student who is hard-working and strong-willed, I think I am a
perfect candidate for this job. I believe that the knowledge and experience I’ve
learned from school and from my personal life, will help me overcome any tasks I
may come across during my time in the company.
For this work immersion, I chose this company to further enhance my social skills
and to gain experience along the way. If I were to join the company, I would do my
best to be a great asset and be responsible with anything that I am tasked to do.
Sincerely,
Immersion Applicant
Weekly Diary (SWOT) Week 1
S - My strengths that I developed during my time of being with the company is that
I developed and furthered my skills of communication during only the first week of
the work immersion. I instantly noticed a difference in how I talk and how I
pronounce words. I always had a talent when it came to writing English and
understanding it due to me growing up in a household that had access to a cable
network. I’m also very determined and persevering when it comes to problems that
I come across. We eventually found out that the modules 1 through 5 were
actually not even needed for us to receive the certificate of completion, but I did a
few of them anyway.
W - While I think I’m decent at writing using the English language, I am very bad at
speaking them. I stutter sometimes when I speak fast and also sometimes
mispronounce words. I am somewhat lazy when I know that I have a lot of time left
to do the things I need to do and often wait until they are close to the deadline.
S - Just like my strengths back on week 1, I still have the same strengths with the
now added ability to pronounce some of the words that I had trouble pronouncing
as well as being able to speak quicker and longer sentences without stuttering. It
was mostly because of one of the modules having a topic dedicated to tongue
twisters in which I decided to do all of them and repeated the whole sentence
whenever I failed. I also led our group to do our two assignments that were tasked
to us in which I edited the video for the first assignment and wrote the script for the
second one. And while I did initiate the process of us doing group work, it was all a
team effort and I thank my peers for being great group members. I finally finished
modules 1 through 5 as well even though it wasn’t required.
W - The only weakness I had left during week 2 was that I still put important work
aside until the deadline came close. Other than that, I didn’t really struggle a lot.
T - The threats were still mostly the same as week 1, but also now because our
WiFi was getting quite slow. It was quite unlucky when my laptop reconnected and
disconnected a lot during the creation of our assignment 1 as well as lagging
during the meeting, freezing my video output, or making it pixelated.
