GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS
1. Prepare your pens, correction tape/fluid, and scientific calculator (and other materials as may be instructed by your proctor) upon settling down
in their seats.
2. Cellular phones and other gadgets must be set/put to silent mode and placed inside your bags.
3. Your bags and other personal belongings (i.e., notebooks, handouts, scratch papers, etc.) must be placed on the platform in front of the
classroom. You are not allowed to get/open your bags unless you are done with the exam.
4. Please read all the instructions carefully before answering.
5. You are encouraged to use black/blue-inked pens in answering the examination.
6. Write all of your answers on the answer sheet (if any).
7. Test questionnaires may be used as scratch paper.
8. If you have concerns, you must raise your hand quietly and remain seated until the proctor approaches you.

day?
2. On the major examination in Statistics and Probability, a teacher gives a remark of Excellent to students who
score at least 75%. The score of the examination have approximately a normal distribution with mean of 84
and standard deviation of 8. If your score in the exam is 91, will your teacher give you an excellent remark?
