Import Analysis

Global Tariff and Tax Matrices

BCI’s trade regulation experts can provide a concise but comprehensive table of tariffs and tax treatment for
your key product or commodity, by HS code, in selected markets worldwide. Applicable import taxes can
also be incorporated. This service provides a cost-effective tool to support your organization’s market
selection, strategic decision-making, and export activities.

Product Compliance
BCI offers regulatory intelligence to support your supply chain management. We analyze import
requirements for products or ingredients and determine if they eligible for export to a specific market .

BCI SOLUTION IN ACTION

BCI reviewed food additive standards, documentation, and labeling requirements for products from a quick
service restaurant chain to determine whether they could be shipped to international restaurants.
BCI Monitor
The BCI Monitor offers a customized weekly update of international trade issues that might affect exports.
Working with clients, each Monitor is tailored to identify key markets and regulatory issues of concern.
BCI then reviews over one hundred sources for developments associated with those issues.

Government Policy
This section is deputed to formulate and implement various trade policy initiatives announced annually by
the Ministry of Commerce. Proposals are developed after consultation with various stakeholders for
consideration by Ministry of Commerce. The Initiatives announced in the Trade Policy are then
implemented and business procedures of schemes are worked out.

In order to devise a proper implementation mechanism and to install an effective evaluation system, a close
coordination and liaison with Pakistani Missions/Consulates/Embassies abroad, is established that not only
enables the smooth flow of the processes involved but also ensures transparency of the schemes.
