at people, I am optimistic]

created by our attachments and desires.
[FALSE – impermanent]
B. How does an excessive amount of self-confidence impact a person’s behavior -
positively or negatively?
The impacts of an excessive amount of self-confidence will greatly vary
from person to person. Some may be aware of their excessive self-confidence
and may tend to doubt their confidence. However, anything that is excessive will
generally lead to negative results. People who are unaware of their excessive
self-confidence will often take more than what they can chew. This means that
there will be times when they will be held accountable for things that are way out
of their hands, and these circumstances will only bring them shame and
embarrassment and may even cause them harm. It is important to have just the
right amount of confidence. To be able to have faith in yourself and your abilities
while fully knowing your limits.
C. What are the differences that you can see when consuming western media
(movies, shows, series, etc.) and eastern media (movies, shows, series, etc.) in
terms of the western and eastern dichotomy. Do you think that the Philippines
have a more eastern type of thinking or a more western type of thinking?
Both western and eastern media showcase a touch of their own
respective cultures when it comes to their media content. The largest difference
that I can think of is the difference in the relationships shown in the movies. Most
eastern movies show large extended families and an emphasis on blood relations
while western movies largely show the individuality of people and relationships
between people who are not related by blood. In eastern movies, you’d see that
the main characters will have friends that are not related to them by blood, but
they are still very close to their blood relatives. On the other hand, the
relationship of characters to their blood relatives in western movies will very
rarely be shown (unless it’s a movie or show about family) and they will most
often interact with their friends who are not related to them by blood. In this
regard specifically, I can say that the Philippines have a more eastern type of

thinking because despite the fact that we spend most of our time with our friends
who are not related to us by blood, we still spend a lot of time with our blood
relatives, even those outside of our immediate family.
