TITLE OF THE MOVIE: 2012

THE THEME: This movie shows natural disasters and the end of the world but there are other
deeper meanings that can be found throughout the film. The audience can discover love, bravery, as
well as human selfishness and the dark side. All people were reminded that there is neither
superiority nor inferiority in front of tragedy and death. The movie "2012" exposes human selfishness
by showing how everyone with money can board arks and survive, but common people must perish.

SETTING OF THE MOVIE: As the title suggests, the movie is set in the year 2012. The original
location of the movie is in Los Angeles but as the film goes on the characters voyage around the
world in order to survive.

SPECIFIC SCENES OR TECHNIQUES THAT SHOW THE ART OF FILM MAKING: The beauty of
the film making was shown were the scenes wherein it shows a montage of the world slowly
crumbling into pieces. They’ve shown great visuals of how the natural disasters occur and co-occur.
The effects they used using CGI were realistic which is commendable. They also did a good job
making the scenes more intense by putting visual effects.
