Swastik Rolling Shutters and Engineering Works, vide e-mail dated 20.08.2021, has confirmed that rolling shutters with the BOQ specification have been obsolete andare difficult to operate, % M/s. HSCL informed that since the chain and crank system is obsolete and not feasible to operate due to larger openings, they requested to consider supply of the rolling shutterwith mectanical bevel gearbox with rotary manual hand crank system for operation in place of the same with chain and crank system. ~ M/s. HSCL informed that they are ready to supply the rolling shutters with mechanical bevel gearbox with rotary manual hand crank system for operation upto BOQ quantity without cost implication, ~ On examination, MECON has informed the shop buildings are industrial structures with sizes of the openings varying from 2.5 m to 6,725 m in height; as such, itis difficult to operate rolling Shutters with chain crank and system, Accordingly, MECONrecommended for supply. and execution of rolling shutters with mechanical gearbox with rotary manual hand crank systems for pberationtrom the functional point of view as an extra item for rolling shutters with quantity beyond BOQ as requested by M/s.
