INTRODUCTION

 The driving, vibration, steering

system and also the service brake
are hydrostatic. Which means that
they all are powered hydraulically
 The machine is equipped with 4
hydraulic pumps to feed the system
– Vibration pump
– Propulsion pump
– Main charge pump
– Fan system charge pump

 These are all mounted in the engine

compartment, with an easy access
from the rear of the machine

3
VIBRATION SYSTEM

 The rollers vibration-system are in  The adjustable frequency is

large handled by an 63cc hydraulic the same as ECO-mode
motor which in turn are powered by a
 This system makes sure that
56cc pump
the fuel consumption is lower
 Optional is a vibration system with than the standard system
adjustable frequency, in that case the
machine is equipped with an 71cc
pump instead

High amplitude Port B Port B
Low amplitude Port A Port A

When coil B on the pump (Y13=High amplitude) is energized we get high pressure
outlet at Port B to inlet port B on the motor.

When coil A on the pump (Y3=Low amplitude) is energized we get high pressure
outlet at Port A to inlet port A on the motor.
Applies on both the standard pump and on the
9 proportional pump(eco/adjustable frequency)

PROPULSION SYSTEM

 The rollers propulsion system is in  An optional system is also

large handled by an 78cc pump and available
one motor in the front at the drum  Automatic Traction control
and one in the back at the rear axle
 Electric proportional
 Standard propulsion system is displacement control (front
traction control with 2 position and rear motors)

STEERING AND FAN SYSTEM

 Steering and fan

system consists of
– The main charge
pump and the fan
system charge pump
– Main valve block
– Two fan motors*
– Steering cylinders
and steering valve

19 *Only on the machines with 6 cylinders, CA3600 and 4600

MAIN VALVE BLOCK, SCHEMATIC

 In the main valve block we

have several functions
– Brake and brake release
– Priority valve for steering
– On this block we also
mount the valve blocks for
optional equipment*

25
BRAKE SYSTEM

 The brake system is controlled via

the main valve block
 On this block we have all
necessary things to release the
brakes in case of a breakdown
 The brake operates both in the
rear axle and in the front of the
machine in the drum gearbox

26
RELEASING THE BRAKES IN CASE OF TOWING

 On the pump there are two by-pass , which should be

turned three turns anticlockwise to put the system in by-
pass mode. By-pass mode means that A and B sides on the
pump are freely connected to the pressure side.

 This function enables a machine to be moved without the

drive shaft on the propulsion pump rotating.

 The release pump for the brakes is located on the valve

block, which is positioned in the rear of the engine 1
compartment.

 Press the break release button (1). And then pump with the 2
arm (2) until the brakes are released.

 After towing, pull the brake release button (1) up.

 To disengage the by-pass mode, turn back the hex screws

three turns clockwise.
