Question No. 3: On your own stand in this courtroom drama, on what side will you stand?
On the supernatural or science? Explain your answer.
Argumentatively, both supernatural and scientific concepts of the movie were
discussed broadly, with excellent rationalization. Father Richard Moore had explained his
side of the story with his faith in helping Emily Rose by conducting an exorcism and
giving medical advice to discontinue her medications. Growing up with religious culture
and beliefs, I understand the notion of faith in God vs. demonic entities and believe in
such things, even in the afterlife.
Nevertheless, watching this film, I've decided to stand with science. All things
considered, Emily Rose demonstrates scientifically or medically evidence-based signs
and symptoms of psychological conditions, as she was mentally strained and incapable of
distinguishing the existence of reality. If only she had been diagnosed earlier and
received the appropriate care, medications, and therapies, she wouldn't have suffered
from malnutrition and self-inflicted injuries, suddenly causing her body to perish.
A BEAUTIFUL MIND
Question No. 1: What are the different signs and symptoms you observed to be present
with the protagonist?
I've observed that John Nash, the protagonist, feared failure or defeat at the
beginning of the movie. He often over-rationalized things and had disturbances of
thought or association during conversations. I've further noticed that he had stereotypical
mannerisms, changes in the rhythm or intonation when speaking, fights of ideas, and
constantly appeared agitated and paranoid. In the latter scenes of the movie, John Nash is
diagnosed with Schizophrenia. He exhibits signs and symptoms such as hallucinations
and delusions, including having sexual dysfunction as one of the side effects of his
medications.

Question No. 3: If you were the patient's significant other, what could you have done
differently or the same with the main protagonist?
Watching the film entitled "A Beautiful Mind" made me acknowledge that
healthcare medications or therapies barely meant anything without the heartfelt support
of either our family or significant other. Thus, my answer will be the same as the
protagonist's significant other. I will undoubtedly assure my significant other that I will
consistently be there for him whenever he needs me throughout his journey of battling
with his mental condition. I will give him my undivided care, support, and attention to
help him overcome everything.
