MONDAY
Definition of Housekeeping Department
One Department that has responsible to take care the Cleanliness, Beautiness, Comfortable and Safety in the
Hotel.

Housekeeping Room Section


Housekeeping is the section who responsible for the Cleanliness, Beauty, Comfort and care about
the Hotel room either inside or outside the Hotel.

Job Description Housekeeping Room Section


 Make Cottage clean and always look tidy.
 Maintain and clean Building.
 Maintain and clean the Meeting Room.
 Maintain and clean Toilet.

TUESDAY
Kinds of Room Based on Facilities
 Standard Room.
 Superior Room.
 Deluxe Room.
 Junior Suite Room.
 Suite Room.
 Presidential Room.

Kinds of Room Based on View


 Cabana : Room that facing to the Water area.
 Lanais : Room that facing to the Mountain.
 Garden Pateo / Sun Room : Room that facing to the Garden.
 Far Away : Room that facing to the Highway.
 Resident View : Room that facing to the Resident area.
 City View : Room that facing to the City.
 Siberian : Room that facing to the Unwanted view.

Kinds of Room Location


 Adjoining room : Rooms without connecting doors.
 Adjection room : Rooms that facing each other.
 Connecting room : Room connect to another room with connecting door.
 Handicap room : Room for disable people.
 Duplex : Room that connect to another room with stairs.
Room Status

 Vacant Clean (VC) : Empty Room that already cleaned.


 Vacant Dirty (VD) : Empty Room that have not been cleaned.
 Vacant Clean Inspected : Room that have been cleaned and has been inspected by
(VCI) supervisor.
 Occupied Dirty (OD) : Room that have been filled but dirty.
 Occupied Clean (OC) : Room that have been filled and already cleaned.
 Sleep Out (SO) : Guess who only put Luggage in room but not sleep in
Hotel Room.
 Do Not Disturb (DND) : Guess who don’t want to be disturbed.
 Private and Confidential : Guess who really don’t want to be disturb.
(PNC)
 Occupied No Luggage : Guess who don’t bring Luggage.
(ONL)
 Out of Order (OO) : Room are damage and repaired for more 24 hours.
 Out of Service (OS) : Room are Damage and Repaired less than 24 hours.
 Please Make up Room : Guess who want their rooms be cleaned.
(PMR)
 No Service Required : Guess who do not want the room to be cleaned.
(NSR)

Turn Down Service


Service given by hotel to the guest to make the guest more comfortable stay in our hotel and to make
the guest easier to sleep. The service given between 5 p.m. until 10 p.m.

WEDNESDAY
Procedure Guest Loan Item
1. Take order.
 Greeting.
 Ask about the description.
 Write on the log book.
 Repeat the order.
2. Giving the item.
 Knock the door 3 times.
 Greeting.
 Tell to the guest how to use it.
 Give the item.
 Ask the guest when it will be return.
 Fill the form.
 Ask for the guest sign.
 Say thank you.
How to Handle Lost and Found
1. All lost & found item must be hand over to the housekeeping order taker immediately.
2. Non valuable and valuable item guest will be stored to housekeeping department.
3. All item will be given a number, a description, the location found in the items and person who
found it.
4. All item that are collected by the guest and the person must sign in the log book by the guest
and the person handling inquiry.
5. The guest must confirm the item and specification the item.
6. Any inquiries during swing & grave shift operation will be noted on lost & found inquiry form.
7. The lost and found book is always keept in housekeeping office.
