  HRM ASSIGNMENT-2
As the chairman of a company, my judgement on the following employment issues
would be guided by several considerations, including:

A) Hiring of Relatives of Employees:

 Avoiding potential conflicts of interest: It is important to ensure that the hiring

of relatives of employees does not create conflicts of interest, where the
employee may prioritise their family member's interests over the company's
best interests.
 Maintaining transparency: It is essential to maintain transparency in the hiring
process, including the job posting, job requirements, and selection criteria.
This would ensure that all applicants, including relatives of employees, are
evaluated fairly based on their qualifications and experience.
 Promoting diversity and inclusion: While hiring relatives of employees may
provide some benefits, it is also important to promote diversity and inclusion in
the workplace. Therefore, it would be necessary to ensure that the hiring
process is open to all qualified candidates regardless of their relationship with
current employees.

B) Promotion from Within vs Selecting the Best from Outside:

 Employee development: It is important to create opportunities for employee

development and growth, which may include promotions from within. By
promoting from within, employees would feel valued and motivated to work
hard and advance their careers within the company.
 Access to new talent and skills: Selecting the best from outside may provide
the company with access to new talent and skills that may not be available
within the company. It is important to consider both the internal talent pool and
external candidates to ensure the best fit for the position.
 Fairness and transparency: Regardless of the decision to promote from within
or select from outside, it is essential to maintain fairness and transparency in
the selection process. This would involve clear job descriptions, job
requirements, and selection criteria, as well as providing feedback to
unsuccessful candidates.

C) Hiring Physically Handicapped Persons:

 Creating an inclusive workplace: Hiring physically handicapped persons would

demonstrate the company's commitment to creating an inclusive workplace
that values diversity and provides equal opportunities for all. It would also help
to promote a positive image of the company in the community.
 Accessibility: The company would need to ensure that the workplace is
accessible to physically handicapped persons and that any accommodations
that are necessary to enable them to perform their jobs are provided.
 Qualifications and Experience: It is important to ensure that physically
handicapped persons are evaluated fairly based on their qualifications and
experience. It would be necessary to consider any limitations they may have
in relation to the job requirements and determine whether any reasonable
accommodations could be made to enable them to perform their job
effectively.
