a very vital role in the economic revival, growth and development of Pakistan. SBP has made substantial progress in
its journey to renew, build and strengthen its institutional capacity. In order to further strengthen the Office of
Corporate Secretary. SBP invites applications for the following position:
Assistant Corporate Secretary (OG‐5/OG‐6)
Key Responsibilities:
This is a middle management position and will report directly to Corporate Secretary. The incumbent, who would
be groomed as back‐up of the Corporate Secretary, shall be responsible to perform functions including:
o Assisting the Corporate Secretary in providing secretarial services to the Central Board of Directors of SBP,
Board of its subsidiaries and Committees of the Board including recording of minutes of the meetings,
follow‐up and status reporting on implementation of decisions.
o Coordination with Federal Government & other stakeholders regarding SBP Board related matters.
o Facilitating improvements in corporate governance of SBP and its subsidiaries and keeping abreast with
changes in legal infrastructure and internal policies and procedures of the Bank.
o Managing centralized database of correspondence and meetings with the key stake holders and back up
arrangements for senior management positions.
o Organizing and management of official events.
o Ensuring confidentiality of corporate matters on “need to know basis”.
Eligibility Criteria:
o Education: CA/ACMA, Master’s degree or equivalent (Bachelors of four years) in Economics,
Finance/Accounts, Business/Public Administration or Degree in Law. Membership of a recognized body of
corporate/chartered secretaries is desired.
o Experience: 8 years experience with at least 5 years in supervisory capacity (middle management level) in
professionally managed institution preferably in corporate secretarial area. Previous exposure in dealing
with Board of Directors will be a plus.
o Age: Not exceeding 45 years as on the last date of submission of applications.
o Core Competencies: The prospective candidate should have:
Superior skills in communication, coordination, planning and organizing. Ability to prioritize
multifarious assignments and meeting tight deadlines required. Exposure of event management
desired.
Understanding of principles of corporate governance and awareness of corporate and banking legal
infrastructure and overall economic and financial systems of the country would be a plus.
Compensation Package:
1. Negotiable monetized salary in the salary scale of OG‐5 (68,000 – Rs. 180,000) of the Bank.
2. 800 cc Car under Bank’s car loan depreciation policy.
3. Free medical facility for self and dependent family members as per Bank’s rules.
4. Contributory Provident Fund, Gratuity, Leave Fare Assistance, Staff Loans and other facilities as per Bank’s
rules.
Note: Candidates who meet the above mentioned minimum criteria, but possess higher qualification/certification
and experience, subject to suitability, may be offered appointment as Senior Joint Director (OG‐6) in the salary
scale of Rs. 90,000—Rs. 240,000 and the facility of a 1000 c.c. Car. Maximum age upto 48 years.
