On June 21, Chinese President Xi Jinping paid

a visit to Shanxi province. He visited Lyuliang
revolutionary memorial museum in Xing County
of Lyuliang City and laid a basket of flowers to
mark respect for the country's martyrs. Xi
advocated to carry forward the "Lyuliang Spirit"
and work hard for improving people's lives and
to achieve great rejuvenation of the nation.

Regardless of tiredness in the journey, Xi

walked on the rugged dirt local road in the
village, inspected villagers' living conditions,
learned about what causes poverty for these
families, and explored approaches for them to
obtain stable incomes. He spoke with local
cadres and peoples about the poverty relief
campaign.

The "Lyuliang Spirit" originated in the

revolutionary war years. It is formed on the
basis of sacrifices from countless revolutionary
martyrs. Hard work and self-improvement
constitute the core of "Lyuliang Spirit".

In spite of changed times and better conditions,

we should not forget predecessors in the
revolutionary years who sacrificed their lives,
should not abandon the "Lyuliang Spirit" that
reflects the CPC (Communist Party of China)'s
fundamental purpose and good style. It is
deemed a spiritual wealth. The current period is
a crucial stage for the poverty relief campaign,
thus the serious poverty-stricken area is the top
priority of this campaign.

Through carrying forward the "Lyuliang Spirit"

and this revolutionary tradition, and gathering
driving forces to roll up sleeves and work
harder, can it be favorable for people to escape
poverty. Local residents can improve their living
standards, just like the sesame grows steadily.
