Crew Member Summer of 2021–Present
● Assisted captain on a fishing boat in a safe and informed way to learn about halibut fishing and
the difficulties it involves
● Developed communication skills with another crew member, living and working with them for
extended periods of time without incident
● Utilized precision skills to clean and filet the fish with maximum efficiency
● Operated the reel and helped with picking fish out of the net, then working with others to deliver
the fish and collect payment

Volunteer/Intern for Link Internship April-May 2023
● Assisted local kelp farmer in day to day activities involving aqua-culture and marine life
● Developed new and delicious recipes incorporating kelp flour, from pizza dough to cookies to
bread
● Collaborated with the people from Simpson Bay Oyster Co to bring tourists to an oyster farm and
provide them with fresh oysters
● Assisted my mentor with the harvest and processing of Sugar and Ribbon kelp, grinding and
drying whole leaves to make kelp flour

4-H Cordova Music Camp Cordova, Alaska

● Organized with a group of peers to put on performances and to entertain children, while keeping
them safe and learning
● Worked with professional musicians to teach ukulele, mandolin, and Hawaiian culture to children
