SINUMPAANG SALAYSAY

I, MARLOU ANGOLUAN, Filipino, 23 years old, and with residence at

Purok 2 Gajo, Tiwi, Albay, after having been duly sworn in accordance with the
law, hereby depose and state that:
1. I am the neighbor of Kim Francis Baclao. I personally know him since we
are born in the same area for 23 years now.
2. On February 14, 2023, at around 4 p.m. I happen to pass by Kim’s house in
where I saw him with a messy hair and drenched in sweat. I asked him “ano
padi okay ka lng? (Hey buddy are you okay?) he then replied, “Iyu padi,
marayun ako lalo pa makakabuno akong tawo” (yes buddy I feel great
especially that I can now butcher a person). I thought he was joking so I
laughed and said “ano man lasa kaan” (what would that taste like?). He
then entered his house without replying to my question.
3. At about 9 p.m. in the evening, I saw that Kim’s parents are still now around
so I just passed by their house, but as I walked along in front of their house, I
heard low cries inside their abandoned house. I tried to check it out but as
soon as I entered their gate, Kim opened the window and asked “ano ito
padi ta nagdigdi ka? (what’s up buddy, why did you come in?) I could only
see his eyes and it was dilated, I got a bit scared so replied “dae man padi
huna ko kung ano” (nothing bro, I thought it was something).
4. I then went home and thought nothing of it since it was not my business. The
next morning, I heard that there was someone shouting, I went outside and I
saw that it was inside Kim’s abandoned house. I then rushed inside to see
what was happening.
5. As I went inside, I saw Kim drenched in blood and holding a butcher’s knife
and I saw a person lying on the floor with his hands tied to his feet and
blood spilling on the floor. I quickly realized what was happening so I tried
to stop him and talk to him to calm down.
6. He was violent towards and inattentive to what we were saying, he was
trying to slash Gary and the other residents who responded to Gary’s cry for
help. We somehow cornered him inside his house as he was trying to escape.
By chance, he accidentally let go of his weapon which gave us the chance to
stop him and tie him up to avoid him from escaping.
7. We tied him up using a rope, he was shouting so loud and was retaliating by
kicking everyone in his range, so we had to tie up his legs too. After some
time, we successfully limited his aggression because we tied his hands and
legs.
 8. After some time, the Police arrived at the crime scene. After they secured the
scene and talked with Gary, they asked me to narrate what happened in
which I responded as a witness.
I executed this affidavit to attest to the truthfulness of the foregoing facts and
to support the filing of Criminal Case of Murder against Kim Francis Baclao, the
suspect.
