Senior Project Reflection
Senior Project Reflection
This Senior Project was one of the most transformative assignments I have ever done in
my academic life. The overall process of this project has made me learn so much and has even
helped me grow as a person. When I first decided on my topic to be about biophilic design, I had
no clue how I was going to create a project surrounding such a specific topic. Now however, I
can say that I have found that project and I am satisfied by my work around it. A lot of the steps
that came with this project I found myself tripping on and I wish I was more on top of these
assignments. I would often forget about the smaller assignments and only focus on the larger
ones, not realizing that every aspect of this project is equally important. On the bright side, I am
satisfied with the work that I did complete on time such as my senior paper. I worked on the
paper for quite a while and I was quite anxious over what score I would get. I ended up having
little to worry about because I did well over what I was expecting on the essay. But I would say
that it was my project that has been the most impactful to me. My project took a lot longer than I
initially anticipated, I had to start with sketches of design ideas I had for the set. I had to make
sure that these designs were both biophilic-based and also hinted at a 1920´s set to satisfy the
Shakespeare In Love timeline. And as I progressed through the project, I developed the
understanding that it was impossible to include everything I wanted for the set. Some Ideas I had
to shut down for the sake of time and as frustrating as these cancellations were, I had to for the
sake of time and the sake of my project. But I also learned that I can still be satisfied with my
work, even if it's not what I originally planned. I realized that projects like these change over
time and that I should expect these transformations in future work that I come across. But for
now, I can say that I am pleased with the work that I put into my Senior Project. I can only hope
that other people will be just as pleased as me, or even the tiniest bit impacted by my project.
