Memoir 1
The best part of the senior project was getting out of my comfort zone and doing
something new and learning from hands-on experience. My least favorite part of the project
was planning everything out and making sure everything was in order.
■ List three things you now know after completing your Senior Project.
After completing the senior project, I now know how to use different types of power tools,
such as a nail gun, Miter saw, and a skill saw. I also know how to properly measure and find
square footage.
■ Which aspect of the Senior Project/Senior Seminar stretched you the most? How did you feel
about and react to this challenge?
Patience was my biggest stretch because when I was painting there was a lot of downtime
and I just wanted to be done.
■ How has the Senior Project/Senior Seminar changed you (skills, attitudes, work habits,
capabilities, confidence, poise, presentation, etc.)?
The senior project made me realize that I’m not always right and everything isn’t as easy as
it seems.
■ Has this experience influenced your future plans?
This project didn’t influence my future plans. This project just further showed me that I
enjoy using my hands and doing hands on work.
■ What would you do differently if you had to do the whole Senior Project/Senior Seminar process
again?
As this project was interesting I would choose a more engaging project that is more hands
on.
■ What advice do you have for next year’s seniors?
Choose a project you are passionate about and don’t do it last minute.
■ What grade would you give yourself for your Senior Project and what justification do you have
for that grade?
I would give myself an A- because the project is kind of lame but I worked hard.
