1 Now King Minos is bad. When the minotaur is hungry, King Minos says to King Aegus
“Send me seven young men and seven young women for my minotaur.”
2 “But when you come back, change the black sail on the boat. Put up a white sail, so I
know that you are alive”.
3 The soldiers take the young people to the prison. But Ariadne, the king’s daughter, is
watching them
4 He sees the boat and he looks carefully at the sail. It’s black! Theseus is dead!

5 Under King Minos’ places there’s a maze. And in the maze there’s a horrible monster
called the minotaur.
6 He lifts his sword and swings it at the minotaur. He swings it again and again and again.
And he cuts off the minotaur’s head.
7 “You’re big and strong” Says King Minos. “But the minotaur is bigger and stronger than
you.”
8 “Father”. He says, “Let me go with them. I’m strong. I want to fight the minotaur. I want
to kill him.”
