INTRODUCTION

KMC MAJOR CUP 2023 with the goal of providing to its clients a break (stress-reliever) and
another way to bond with fellow employees / clients and have some fun. Such activities
promote unity and growth within the organization, as well as help employees become more
productive at work.

OBJECTIVE

The objective of the KMC MAJOR LEAGUES is to create friendly competition between the teams
in various sports. This event is a perfect opportunity to show camaraderie, teamwork,
athleticism and talent.

GENERAL SPORTS FEST GUIDELINES

• Players per sports category should report at the assigned court at least thirty (30)
minutes before the event starts.

• Decision of the judges/umpires will be final and binding to all.

• A first-aid / treatment area should be available in the venue.

• Any player who exhibits signs, symptoms or behaviors consistent with a concussion,
such as loss of consciousness, headache, dizziness, confusion, or balance problems, shall
be disallowed from further participation in the contest and are advised to seek
professional medical attention.
• Each player must be included in the submitted official roster in order to participate in
the event.

TEAM COMPOSITION

• BASKETBALL (12 Players)


12 (MENS)
• VOLLEYBALL MIXED (8 Players)
4 MEN and 4 WOMEN
• BADMINTON (6 Players)
3 MEN and 3 WOMEN
• DODGEBALL (8 Players)
4 MEN and 4 WOMEN

SCORING SYTEM

FOR OVERALL CHAMPION

The point scoring system below is given to teams based on their ranks after the Finals in each
sports category. The total score will be based on the sum of all the acquired points per region
per sports category. The TEAM that has the most total points shall be declared overall KMC
MAJOR LEAGUES.

GAME FORMAT

• The following rules will be used in our KMC MAJOR LEAGUES.

• We will be having a virtual meeting for the guideline schedule to our KMC CUP 2023via
on-line platform on 12 of April 2023 Wednesday.

• A Single Elimination Format will be use.


• Each Team will expect 1 game or more.
• Top 2 Teams will advance to finals, losing team from semi-final will advance to battle for
3rd.
• Succession Game Style.
BASKETBALL MEN

Scoring System

1. A game consists of 4 Quarters.


2. Each quarter consist of fifteen (10) minutes (running time).
3. In last two (2) minutes in the 4th Quarter stop the time will be use.
4. If the score is tied at the end of the playing time for the 4th Quarter, the game shall
continue with the extra periods of five (2) minutes as is necessary to break the tie.
5. If a foul is committed when or just before the game clock signal sounds for the end of
playing time, any eventual free throw(s) shall be taken after the end of playing time.
6. Two (2) technical fouls will result to thrown out of the game.
7. 5 commit fouls out of the game.
8. 5 fouls in every quarter will result penalty.
9. FIBA rules will be applied.

UNFORSEEN EVENT
• The decision of the Referee/tournament director on any disputes during
the competitions shall be final
• The ongoing tie’s/matches will be impossible to continue, such
tie’s/match shall be continuing on later from the point where it was
disrupted.

Misconduct

Misconduct or unsportsmanship conduct (intimidation, defamatory, physical violence,


insulting gestures, etc.) by a team member towards officials or opponents is punishable.

VOLLEYBALL Mixed

Scoring System

1. Rally point system will be applied


2. A set consists of the best of 3 sets of 25 points for elimination round only.
3. For the FINALS a set consists of the best of 5 sets of 25 points.
4. At 24 all, the side which gains a 2 point lead first wins that game.
5. In deciding sets for the 3rd SET to make 15 points wins the game at 14 all, the side
which gains a 2point lead first wins that game.
6. In deciding sets for the 5th SET to make 15 points wins the game at 14 all, the side which
gains a 2point lead first wins that game.
7. In deciding set change ends in 8 points
8. Each set have two (2) time outs.
9. A team score a point by successfully grounding the ball on the opponent’s court, when
the opponents team commit a fault, when the opponents team receives penalty
10. A team commits a fault by making a playing action contrary to the rules (or by violating
them in some other way). The referees judge the faults and determine the
consequences according to the rules
11. If two or more faults are committed by opponents simultaneously, a DOUBLE FAULT is
called and the rally is replayed.
12. FIVB rules will be applied.

Team Composition
8 Players for Mixed Volleyball

Misconduct

Misconduct or unsportsmanship conduct (intimidation, defamatory, physical violence,


insulting gestures, etc.) by a team member towards officials or opponents is punishable.

1. Show a Yellow card for Penalty


2. Show a Red for Expulsion of the game
3. Show both cards jointly for disqualification of the game
BADMINTON

Men’s Doubles
Ladies’ Doubles
Mixed Doubles

Scoring System
1. Rally point system will be applied.
2. A match consists 2 out of 3 games 1- 21 points per the 1st game and 2nd game. Straight
to 21 points only.
3. In the deciding game of Final game 1 to 11 points only. No setting at 10 all.
4. Discretion of the umpire by giving a break or time out.

Mechanics

1. This will be individual Players or by pair.


2. Once the Tournament start no changing of players for Men’s Doubles, Ladies Doubles
and Mixed doubles.
3. All participants are required to be in the playing venue one (1) hour before their
scheduled match.

Doubles

1. There is only one serve in doubles. The service passes consecutively to the players.
2. At the beginning of the game and when the score is even, the server serves from the
right court. When it is odd, the server serves form the left court.
3. If the serving side winds a rally, the receiving side scores a point and the same server
serves again form the alternate service court.
4. If the receiving side wins a rally, the receiving side scores a point. The receiving side
becomes the new serving side.
5. The player of the receiving side who served last stays in the same service court from
where he served last. The reverse pattern applies to the receiver’s partner.
6. The players do not change their respective service courts until they win a point when
their side is serving.
7. If the players commit error in the service court, the error is corrected when the mistake
is discovered.
8. BWF rules will apply.

CHROMA RUN PARTICIPATION

FORMAT
1. Open for all Registered Players / Line Up are eligible to join
2. All players must be registered in the venue and present during the opening program of
the event.
COMPOSITION OF PLAYERS
1. Basketball 12 players
2. Volleyball 8 players
3. Badminton 6 Players
4. Dodgeball 8 players
Total of 34 players
