I. OBJECTIVES: At the end of the one-hour class discussion the students must be able to:

a. Describes the types of intentional Injuries.


b. Appreciate the significance of addressing these intentional injuries.
c. Create a slogan on how these types of intentional injuries affect people in the society.

II. SUBJECT MATTER:


Topic: INTENTIONAL INJURIES
Materials: Visual Aids, Pictures, Activity Sheets
Reference: Health Module 1, Quarter 4

III. PROCEDURE:
Preparation

TEACHER STUDENTS

Good afternoon, Class! Good afternoon, Ma’am!

Please arrange your chairs and pick up any pieces of Yes Ma’am
paper under your chairs.

Always wear your facemask, sanitize your hands and Yes Ma’am
observe social distancing

Motivation (PICTURE ANALYSIS)


The teacher will present series of images with scrambled letters as a
clue and let the students guess the answer.

ACTIVITY
DIFFERENTIATED INSTRUCTION
On a ¼ sheet of paper, students will write something about
what they have picked out on a bowl. The bowl consists of
numbers from 1-5 with a corresponding task. After 3
minutes. The students will share what they have wrote to the
class by reading their answers. The students will actively
participate in the activity.

Number 3-SEXUAL HARRASMENT
Number 4-DOMESTIC VIOLENCE

ANALYSIS
1. How can these issues affect the life of adolescents?
2. How can we help the victims of these issues from violence and
abuse?
3. As a student, what programs can you recommend to our government to
address these kinds of issues?

ABSTRACTION
The teacher will discuss the following:
INTENTIONAL INJURIES- are those which are caused by violence
and often manifest as trauma in victims.
TYPES OF INTENTIONAL INJURIES
1. BULLYING –
Golden rule “Don’t do unto others what you don’t want The students will actively

c. Cyber Bullying-is bullying that takes place over digital
devices like cellphones, computers and tables.
Just like in your TLE subject, you have learned that ICT
plays and important role in the society especially nowadays

also disadvantages and that is because of the presence of
cyberbullying. It occurs through apps where people can
view, participate in and share content against a person.

Did you know that Korea has the highest rates of suicide
case in the world with an estimated percentage of 28.6%
out of 100,000 people. Some of the reasons are pressure
from their peers, parents and society that they have to fit in
to the expectations of society. Culturally, they used to end
their lives to escape from embarrassment.
