Written Interview for Landscape Program Officer

1. Landscape Program Officer will Support the implementation of the Landscape


Conservation Programme on increasing the intensity of its work outside conservation
areas through collaboration with related parties, especially BKSDA Kalteng, UPTD KPHP
and private sector management unit concessionaires (HPH’s and OP companies). What
strategy will you initiate to implement the program by involving related parties?

2. In your opinion, how important is the landscape conservation program for orangutans
conservation and their habitats? What types of activity can be developed for the
purpose of orangutans conservation in various habitat?

3. Currently, the largest orangutan habitat is outside conservation areas, including in areas
for production forests (HP) and areas for other uses (APL). In your opinion, what
strategy should be taken to manage, protect, and save the orangutans outside the
conservation area, including those around the oil palm plantations?

4. In your opinion, what is the biggest challenge in orangutan conservation in Indonesia


today? So what role can NGOs/NGOs play in orangutan conservation efforts in
Indonesia?

5. What conservation and environmental issues do you think are currently relevant to
supporting conservation efforts for orangutans and their habitats outside conservation
area?

6. What do you think about the relationship between GIS as a tool and orangutan
conservation?

7. What is the meant by "topology error" and how much is the error in the vector data
sample and how wide is each class in the vector data sample after correction? Data

8. Do you know about Sustainable Production Forest Management (PHPL)? What is the
role of Forest Management Units in on-site orangutan conservation?

9. In the field of conservation, there are many regulations that have been made by the
Government of Indonesia, how do you understand these regulations? how do you align
these regulations with landscape conservation work programs?

10. What do you know about Orangutan Foundation? Please give us example

11. Why do you think the foundation should employed? What are you strength?

12. What are your weaknesses that have been obstacles to your work? And how do you
overcome your weaknesses?

13. Do you still have a work contract with other agencies / institutions / companies? If so,
how much notice do you have to give?

14. For your information, if you are accepted we allocation transport to Pangkalan Bun will
be reimbursed by the Foundation. Are you willing to join the Orangutan
Foundation for at least 2 years?

15. If accepted, you will work in the foundation office in Pangkalan Bun, the capital of West
Kotawaringin Regency, Central Kalimantan. Pangkalan Bun may be different from where
you are working now. Do you think you will be able to adapt to this new location?

16. Orangutan Foundation office hours are Monday-Friday: 09.00-17.00 WIB. During office
hours, the Foundation provides lunch, and while in the field / camp also the Foundation
provides meals and accommodation. Every Orangutan Foundation staff will be a
mandatory product participant in BPJS. For information, the Foundation will not
pay excess work hours. In connection with these matters, what is the net salary that
you are asking for? What is your reason?
