I.OBJECTIVES
A. Content The learner demonstrates understanding of how Anglo-American literature and other text types serve as means of
Standard connecting to the world; also how to use ways of analysing one-act play and different forms of verbals for him/her to
skilfully perform in a one-act play.
B. Performance The learner skilfully performs in one-act play through utilizing effective verbal and non-verbal strategies and ICT

suggestions, and personal judgment on situations, respectively. In the activity earlier with the comics, you might
have provided factual information or expressed subjective content to justify your choice. It is equally important to
know how to distinguish the two when listening to a speaker or reading an article when gathering information. For
situations that call for a valuable input from you, it is important that you know these two important concepts so that
you may be able to balance them to form a strong argument.
D. Abstraction Read the video transcript of America’s President Barack Obama which you can also find on pages 528-529 if you
have your English 9 LM. If you have internet access and gadget at home, you may watch the video on this link:
