Table 1 shows the demographic profile of the 24 respondents

in this study.

Data revealed that 19 (79.17%) of the respondents were 20 –

29 years old, 3 (12.50%) were 40 – 49 years old, and 2 (8.33%)

were 30 – 39 years old. This indicates that the respondents are

relatively young.

When grouped according to sex, the respondents were evenly

split: 12 (50.00%) of them are males and 12 (50.00%) are females.

This data suggests that women are now well-represented in

radiologic technology/medical imaging.

As regards civil status, majority (17 or 70.83%) of the

respondents were single while 7 (29.17%) were married.

Of the 24 respondents, 14 (58.33%) have been working in the

field for 4-9 years, 6 (25.00%) for less than 3 years, 3 (12.50%)

for 10-15 years, and 1 (4.17%) for at least 16 years. This

implies that the respondents are relatively newer in the

profession, owing presumably to their age. A cross-tabulation of

the age and length of service of the respondents reveals that of

the 19 respondents who are between 20-29 years old, 13 (68.42%)

of them have been working in the field for 4-9 years while 6

(31.58%) of them for less than 3 years.

As to the number of Basic Life Support (BLS)

trainings/seminars attended, 23 (95.83%) attended at most 3 such

professional development programs while 1 (4.17%) attended

between 4 and 9.
