About the project

The aim of the project is to popularise sex education,which includes such topics and problems as
diversity, inclusivity, gender inequality, macho culture, physical and mental health, healthy
relationships (romantical and not), communication, body image, gender identity, sexual orientation
and many more. It has to be teached and spoken of in the youth community, to raise awareness, as
well as have the safe space for youth to speak. During the project a lot of discussions will be held in
international community of people with different backgrounds.

The main objectives of this project are:

• Involving all 31 person(in youth exchange) as active citizen and hear their voice on topics.
• Developing the skills of Erasmus+ in different fields.
• Raise awarness in sex education topic for further spreading of it.
• Diversity, inclusivity and safe space to be heard.

Participation
In the APV meeting there will be 1 participant(group leader) from each country, aged 18+. As well
as there will be facilitator of the project from Latvia. Group leaders must have experience in
Erasmus+ projects and youth work in general.

ACCOMODATION
Participants of the Youth Exchange will stay in the Marsaxlokk Youth
Activity Center.

The Marsaxlokk Youth Activity Centre is situated at the core of the picturesque village within
walking distance from the charming quayside. Marsaxlokk is located in the south-eastern part of
Malta. Its bay is memorable for the many traditional fishing boats called ‘luzzu’ and its quayside is
always vibrant with fishermen activities.

• 3 meals per day will be provided( participants should inform about any dietary needs)
• 2-3 bedded rooms
• Shared showers
• Access to Wi-Fi inside and outside of leisure spaces
• Towels are provided, but only for use in shower, not allowed for the beach

THE ARRIVAL IN MALTA

For the APV you will have 2 travelling days : 27th and 30th of July.

The only way to get to Malta is by air, arriving with plane to Malta International airport.
Our venue is not far away and there is a direct bus service every hour, number 119, which takes 31
minute to the Xerriex stop, which is 2 min away by foot from Marsaxlokk Youth Activity center.
All the information is easily found in Google Maps as well, if needed.

• In the evening of arrival( 27th of July) there will be dinner provided.

• In the morning of departure(30th of July) there will be breakfast provided.

INSURANCE
Each participant must have health insurance. In any case, please remember
health insurance, as well as travel insurance, is your responsibility. So don’t
forget to check and bring your
insurance card with you.
We reccomend getting the European Health Insurance Card(EHIC). It is a joint
document for all European Union, European Economic Area countries and
Switzerland Confederation that confirms the rights of citizens to receive state-
funded emergency and necessary healthcare services to the same extent that it
has secured the country's population.
In any case, travel insurance will be a bonus for your own safety and health.

FOOD

Please inform us about any specific dietary needs as allergies and preferences.
