EMPLOYMENT CONTRACT - Backend
This agreement is made and entered into between [COMPANY NAME], with its principal place of
business at [COMPANY ADDRESS], hereinafter referred to as "Employer," and [EMPLOYEE NAME],
with an address of [EMPLOYEE ADDRESS], hereinafter referred to as "Employee."
POSITION
Employee is hired as a Backend Engineer to work in an Agile development team. Employee's primary
responsibilities shall be to design, develop, and maintain server-side applications, collaborate with
other members of the team, and contribute to the overall success of the project.
SALARY
Employee shall be compensated for their services based on a fixed number of story points to be
completed within each 3-week sprint. The exact amount of compensation for each sprint shall be
---------- and paid in full after each Sprint Review (Demo). If the Employee does not complete all the
assigned tasks within the sprint duration, their compensation will be based on the ratio of the
completed story points and total assigned story points.
TERM
This contract shall begin on [START DATE] and shall continue until terminated by either party.
RESPONSIBILITIES
a. Employee shall attend all Agile team meetings, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint
review, and sprint retrospective meetings.
b. Employee shall complete assigned story points within each sprint as agreed upon with the team.
d. Employee shall work collaboratively with other members of the team and contribute to the overall
success of the project.
e. Employee shall maintain accurate records of their work and submit them for review and approval
by their team leader.
CONFIDENTIALITY
Employee agrees to keep confidential all proprietary and confidential information of the Employer,
including but not limited to business plans, trade secrets, financial information, and customer
information.
INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
Employee agrees that all inventions, discoveries, designs, developments, and works of authorship
created by the Employee during the term of this contract shall be the property of the Employer.
TERMINATION
This contract may be terminated by either party upon written notice to the other party. Upon
termination, Employee shall return all confidential information and property of the Employer.
GOVERNING LAW
This contract shall be governed by the laws of [STATE], and any disputes arising out of this contract
shall be resolved in accordance with the laws of that state.
ENTIRE AGREEMENT
This contract represents the entire agreement between the parties and supersedes all prior
discussions and agreements. This agreement may not be modified except in writing and signed by
both parties.

By signing below, the parties acknowledge that they have read and understand the terms of this
agreement and agree to be bound by them.
