Rules of basketball

Basketball is a team sport


Two teams of five players each try to score by shooting a ball through a hoop elevated 3,05
meters above the ground.
There are two different types of rules: FIBA rules and NBA rules

How to play?

It is a rectangular field of 28x15 meters called the court and there is a hoop at each
end.

Two teams of five players

FIBA: 4x10 minuts
NBA: 4x12 minuts
5 minutes of extension

There are 5 types of basketball pases:
Bounce pass
Chest pass
Overhead pass
One-hand push pass
Baseball pass
● Throwing
○ Jump shot : is the most frecuency used for mid to long range shots

○ Hook shot : a hook shot is when the shoot is made while your body is not
directly facing the basket

○ Bank shot is when any shot made where this ball hits the blackboard before
hedding into the net .

○ Free throw a free throw is a shot atempht given to a player that was fouled
and it taken on the free throw line. The player must stay behind the free throw
line when talking the shot .

○ Lay up is a shot made from short range by a player moving towards the
basket usually ustiling the blackboard if he approaches the hoop from an
angle

○ Slam dunk : is usually the most spectacular shot and it's one of the toughest
feats in basketball. it's usually requires more jumping ability than shotan skills.
