significance lies in its historical, cultural, artistic, and contemporary relevance.

2. What were the influences of Asian Art?

The history of Eastern painting is as old as the civilization of China. It is historically
comparable to Western painting. Eastern countries continued to influence each other's
production of art over the centuries. The ideologies of Confucianism, Daoism, and
Buddhism played important roles in East Asian art.

3. How is Asian Art distinct from other types of Art?

Asian art is mainly known for its ritual bronzes, delicate ceramics, jades, textiles, poetic
painted landscapes, elaborate gold work and sculptures, woodblock prints, and
calligraphy, among others.
