Introduction
Education is among the greatest achievements one could have in this lifetime. Not all are
privilege enough to finish the journey of life with knowledge and wisdom, but everyone could start with
a dream and a little step. You see, people dream of things no one can steal, education is something we
can put in our hands without being afraid of the attempts of stealing. In time, I believe education will
unlock the doors of opportunity that will allow me to share what I’ve known and learned in the previous
years.
If education is the key, teaching is the action of unlocking. It may seem that we can just describe
it as a mere profession, but it is not just that. It is a long and gradual process of sacrifices and efforts,
enabling us to create a society of fairness in knowledge. It is lifetime dedication and commitment of
inspiring children to know thing’s existence. A day of teaching is a day worth remembering.
Practice teaching pertains to the little steps we do as the start of teaching. It is the time of
shining, to be able to apply all the things we’ve learned in line with our course is such a great time to
show how long we’ve done. It is a test of ones dedication to teaching and dream of being a teacher. To
teach as if you are already a licensed teacher with students of random personalities is the greatest
practice of the profession.
Student teaching, soon we look back on the journey of how we made it well never forget the
application we did. With our students, the way we impose knowledge to them, the way we master our
subject. These things will remain the most important matter in student teaching because these things
made us feel the actual or the real teaching process. Knowing that they are attentive and more than
willing to listen is an indication that we are effective teachers, we do caught souls who want gain
additional knowledge.

My First Teaching Experience
Education is important to me. I never really imagined I would be in Education program.

Although, destiny works in ways we never know, I find myself embracing the profession. I realized that
it is a big responsibility and opportunity at the same time, which you have to be committed and would
sacrifice because it is a long process of learning.
Back in the days, I was really nervous of how my first day of teaching would turn out. First, I
wasn’t even sure if I will be a good teacher to my students, but when I introduced myself to the
students, I felt overwhelmed of their warm welcome. Nonetheless, my first day in the classroom went
better than I expected. I acted like a real licensed teacher; I love teaching them in my own strategy.
Though it is hard because I am a Music Major but in off campus teaching I become Mapeh Major. I
tried to learn everything about p.e, arts and did my best to have a good lesson plan. Each day lesson
plan is very important, it was incredibly difficult for me to figure out what I should do for every day, but
with time, the process got a little bit easier and I started getting more creative with lesson and applying
the strategies in teaching.
My first teaching experience taught me a lot about what it means to be a teacher and a lot about
myself. There have been so many challenges, so many celebrations, and so much that I have learned. I
expected to always plan the perfect lesson plan, explain everything perfectly but I always get mistakes. I
have learned how important it is to accept that we are not perfect teachers. We all have things to learn
and this teaching experience taught me a lot. I learned from my cooperating teacher and to my students
almost every day. Giving a good connection to your students every day will always value a good
relationship. In order to create a healthy environment in the class. I loved getting to know my students
like, dislike, strengths and weaknesses. Knowing that could helped me to make a better way of teaching
and have a good class every day. When I always teach in different class section, I completely see the
difference with the environment, and how to manage my teaching style, student different personalities
and how I use the resources to catch their attentions. It is easy to because I have my own ways of
teaching, you have to find what their likes is so that they will participate to your class every day. Every
time I go into my class, I can see success, more engagement, and most importantly is the collaboration.
They always greet when they saw a teacher walking, and sometimes they help the teacher and full of
happiness in their face when they feel they will not be ignore by their initiatives.
I have experienced different behaviors of the students in the classroom. I always establish my
own behavior when I always been in the classroom. However, I also struggle of other student’s
behavior. Bullying is one of their bad habits and it makes the class noisy. And the only thing that I can
do is to talk to them that it is bad doing nonsense things. I strictly valued a role of a teacher in the
growth of my students. And as a teacher, I always make them recognize the social and emotional of
their growth as well. I experienced students sleeping in my class and its not good if some students will
do that. Other sections is listening and follow my discipline to them, but in one section one student is
had caught my attention that his attention is not in school and make the classroom a bedroom so I
discipline him and this is what he did, he walk away to the class with a bad attitude. So the next day I
look his class records and its blank, it is sad because he is wasting her time going to school with
nothing. Every time I end the class, I always give them good comments that will make their hearts fill
with joy and make them participate in class. And when their group activities other students who have
bad habits did participate in class, it makes me feel like they respect me. No one likes disciplining their
students but this will make a positive relationship with them.
I experienced school activities and program. Splash for Taal Volcano, it is such a grate
experienced that I am one of the runners and make myself wet with my co student teachers. JS prom
and before the night we prepared the photo booth and helped to prepare food for the guest. And in the
other day, we have a program and it is a Foundation day, student and teacher parade outside the campus
and wear their different clothes for the performance. After the parade, we take a rest and prepare our
students for their performance. All families gathered in school to share their foods and teacher as well in
each classroom. After that, we have game for all the parents and student as well. We enjoy assisting on
the game and it is fun, seeing parents and students happiness is a blessed in a teacher. Last is the
coronation night, we helped again in preparing the food and at the end we helped together to take all the
decorations in the stage.

My Final Demonstration
Final demonstration is the day we have been waiting after months of practice teaching. Before
we could ever reach it, it was like we entered the avenue of experience---the classroom became our
haven, the teaching resources that served as our weapon, and the students who challenged the potential
in us.
Test of time, test of potential, test of all the wisdom and knowledge; final demonstration came
like an informed battle of teaching. The days of teaching the students was a great preparation, but like a
soldier, I planned everything. My cooperating teacher was like a good companion. Without the students,
it will not be challenging enough. Students are the most important because they were the ones who
gained knowledge from me, I too, gained from them, and I will forever be grateful.
My observers were Dr. Rex Emmanuel Asuncion, Sir Genil Labaguis, and my cooperating
teacher Ma’am Ann Margaret Perolino. I had a slight feeling of nervousness back in the final
demonstration, but one thing had entered my mind, it is what I have long been waiting. Effort and
hardwork brought me to the final demonstration.
I started by class greetings. It was followed by a music prayer. In continuation, before they have
their sits they must do the cleanliness and orderliness. Before opening the new topic, I will have recap
about the last topic. To enhance the students’ skills, I am providing activities for their engagement. The
students will get a hint of the topic. To make it more realistic, I am preparing some video clips. Then I
will be discussing the topic. After that, I am going to group them for the activity. Then I will be testing
their understanding of the topic. Last is the evaluation.
My observers congratulated me, and of course, little error is inevitable to human life, but I am
contented with the result. Giving my best in the final demonstration is part of the experience. I have
learned a lot, and in time, the little mistakes of today will be just a part of the bright future ahead of me.
