Poetry is a lovely genre of writing that can help kids communicate
and build strong reading skills while allowing them to tackle
significant issues. The ability to read and appreciate poetry prepares
students to become literate people who understand the beauty and
significance of written language. The concepts embedded in poetry,
such as thyme, alliteration, personification, and imagery, are
fundamental to decoding comprehension and fluency, which are the
two pillars of effective reading. Poetry can be so much fun, and there
is a ton of funny, intriguing, and multicultural poetry that young kids
will love. It is important to appreciate excellent language when
listening to poetry. Students can learn about poetry's aesthetics or
inner beauty by reading aloud to them.

fantastic technique for students to start becoming more accustomed
to grammatical rules of written language and develop into more
proficient readers.
