1. PLANNING INFORMATION

A. EFFECTIVITY
This Service Bulletin is applicable to:
• 7X aircraft with serial numbers 2 thru 400,
• 8X aircraft with serial numbers 402 and subsequent,
that have not previously implemented DASSAULT AVIATION modification M1746, and
that are not equipped with 3 engine generators P/N 30089-007.
B. REASON

The purpose of this Service Bulletin is to improve main generator mechanical robustness in order to
increase the bearing restoration interval to 1800 FH.
C. DESCRIPTION
The Service Bulletin is divided into three sections:
• Section 7X-438-1: Installation of new engine 1 generator (L7000PC),
• Section 7X-438-2: Installation of new engine 2 generator (M7000PC),
• Section 7X-438-3: Installation of new engine 3 generator (R7000PC).
For each section, the operation consists in replacing:
• the DC generator ((L7000PC) or (M7000PC) or (R7000PC)),
• the DC generator gearshaft splined adapter ((L9710PC) or (M9710PC) or (R9710PC)).

D. COMPLIANCE
If you choose to comply with this Service Bulletin, accomplishment of each section is to be performed
during removal of the corresponding DC generator.
E. APPROVAL
This Service Bulletin covers DASSAULT AVIATION modification M1746 that has been approved under
the authority of the DOA ref. EASA.21J.051.
The technical content of this document is approved under the authority of the DOA ref. EASA.21J.051.

NOTE: These labor-hours only concern the work described in this Service Bulletin and do not include

• Change in weight: +0.097 kg (0.21 lb)
• 7X aircraft: Change in balance with respect to 25% MAC: 0.43 m.kg (37.3 in.lb)
• 8X aircraft: Change in balance with respect to 25% MAC: 0.48 m.kg (41.6 in.lb)
• DC generator 2:
• Change in weight: +0.097 kg (0.21 lb)
• 7X aircraft: Change in balance with respect to 25% MAC: 0.76 m.kg (66.0 in.lb)

2. ACCOMPLISHMENT INSTRUCTIONS

A. GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS AND SAFETY PRECAUTIONS


(1) Obey the general maintenance and safety precautions (Refer to TASK 20-00-00-910-801).
B. PRELIMINARY STEPS
(1) The aircraft must be in the maintenance configuration (Refer to TASK 20-00-00-910-803).

C. SECTION 7X-438-1: REPLACEMENT OF ENGINE 1 GENERATOR (L7000PC)


(1) Remove the engine 1 generator (L7000PC) (Refer to TASK 24-31-01-900-801).
(2) Replace the AGB DC generator gearshaft splined adapter (L9710PC) (Refer to TASK
72-60-09-900-802).
NOTE: We recommend the use of the puller P/N PWC48468 to avoid removing the magnetic
seal.

(3) Install the new engine 1 generator (L7000PC) (Refer to TASK 24-31-01-900-801).
(4) Discard the removed AGB DC generator gearshaft splined adapter (L9710PC).

D. SECTION 7X-438-2: REPLACEMENT OF ENGINE 2 GENERATOR (M7000PC)


(1) Remove the engine 2 generator (M7000PC) (Refer to TASK 24-31-01-900-801).
(2) Replace the AGB DC generator gearshaft splined adapter (M9710PC) (Refer to TASK
72-60-09-900-802).
NOTE: We recommend the use of the puller P/N PWC48468 to avoid removing the magnetic
seal.
(3) Install the new engine 2 generator (M7000PC) (Refer to TASK 24-31-01-900-801).
(4) Discard the removed AGB DC generator gearshaft splined adapter (M9710PC).
E. SECTION 7X-438-3: REPLACEMENT OF ENGINE 3 GENERATOR (R7000PC)
(1) Remove the engine 3 generator (R7000PC) (Refer to TASK 24-31-01-900-801).
(2) Replace the AGB DC generator gearshaft splined adapter (R9710PC) (Refer to TASK
72-60-09-900-802).
NOTE: We recommend the use of the puller P/N PWC48468 to avoid removing the magnetic
seal.
(3) Install the new engine 3 generator (R7000PC) (Refer to TASK 24-31-01-900-801).
(4) Discard the removed AGB DC generator gearshaft splined adapter (R9710PC).

F. RECORDING
Record compliance with this Service Bulletin in the appropriate aircraft documents.
Fill out the electronic Service Bulletin reply form accessible from the ”Service Bulletin" page on the
Falcon portal or register SB implementation at Sbconfiguration@dassault-aviation.com, providing all
useful information for aircraft identification:
• aircraft type and serial number,
• SB compliance: complete or section(s) applied,

NOTE: Compliance with this Service Bulletin by substituting the part numbers below with interchangeable
subsequent part numbers (as per the Master List) is acceptable, provided that subsequent part
numbers have the same effectivity as the original ones.

For the removal of the AGB DC generator gearshaft splined adapters, we recommend the use of the
