maproteksyonan”.

VIII. Rationale: ( The importance of Environmental Sanitation )

Environmental Sanitation refers to all factors in mans physical environment, which

may exercise a deleterious effect on his health well Being and survival. It is a branch
of public health that deals of the study of preventiing illnesses by managing the
environment and changing Peoples behavior to reduce exposure to biological and
non-biological agents of disease and injury.

IX. Objectives:

 Conduct Information Education campaign (IEC) to purok Narra about the

environmental Health and sanitation program
 Identify HOUSE HOLD without toilets and compost pit make a list and submit
to the sanitation inspectors

 Observe proper segregation of waste/garbage for easy to pick-up of garbage

truck collector.

X. Description of the Activity:

This activity is to be conducted to educate community inhabitants about the

importance of proper waste disposal, especially in those crowded areas. Also, in our
community. Every member was given a task to help with this activity. We aim to
educate and let the people at Prk. Narra, Brgy. Mabua, Tandag City to be aware of
environmental cleanliness. During the group meeting on May 24, 2023, this activity
was made. The community is having an insufficiency of waste disposal materials
and area. Due to this issue, we students take part in health promotion to the
community. The participants would be the residents of the said barangay. Part of the
activity is the discussion of improper waste disposal, pollution of the community,
and preventive measures for communicable diseases. For this reason, we come up
with an estimated budget of Php 500 to be able to make this activity a success. This
lecture aims to let the residents of the barangay knowledgeable about related issues
that will be encountered in improper waste disposal in the community.
