Introduction.

In CRPR we conduct a gardening, our section divided into 4 groups, each group has
a different plot and each plot has a different crop planted, our group decided to grow
a onion leeks, our group pic the onion leeks to plant because of short period time of
growing season.

Gardening is indeed a favourite pastime for us. With our busy and concrete lifestyle,
gardening is the only way that keeps us connected to mother nature. In the gardens,
we grow various vegetables. We tender and care for the life of these beautiful crops,
thus we grow them with utmost love and care. These plants in our garden purify the
air around us, thus making the air healthy which we breathe.
Objectives.

The goal of planting in school is to be able to apply it in everyday life; because of the
difficulty of living today, we must plant in order to save money; there are numerous
benefits to planting, which are as follows.

 To employ a unique planting strategy.
 To employ a planting strategy that will use organic fertilizer to improve the
crop.
 For students to know the different types of crop care.
 enhances students' academic performance, mental and physical well-being,
concentration,
Accomplished

During our planting, we have done many things that are beautiful in our plant as
follows, but because of the weather and the suspension of the class, some of the
onion plants died in the stem of a banana, but there is one plot that still has a living
onion plant.
Example of technique we applied:
 One of the techniques we try is the mulching, Mulching is referred
as spreading various covering materials on the surface of soil to minimize
moisture losses and weed population and to enhance crop yield
and self-discipline as well as their love of nature.
Lesson learned

We may connect with nature while also enjoying the results of our labors when we
garden. In this account, I'll talk about some of the important things I discovered while
gardening, with a focus on how to grow onions. Every stage of the process, from plot
layout to plant care, has brought about progress and useful insights.
Choosing the Perfect Plot:
Choosing the ideal location to grow onions is one of the most important gardening
topics to learn. In full light and well-drained soil, onions grow nicely. The place you
pick must receive at least six to eight hours of direct sunlight each day. Also, it's
essential to make sure the soil is adequately prepared and rich in organic matter
before planting. Suitable Soil Preparation
A good soil preparation is necessary for optimum onion development. Lesson
discovered: I discovered the value of aerating the soil and getting rid of any trash or
weeds before planting. Compost or well-rotted manure can be added to the soil to
increase its fertility and drainage. This process allows the best nutrient absorption
and fosters a favorable environment for the development of onion bulbs.
Rhythm and Distance:
When it comes to growing onions, timing is crucial. I learned that planting onions in
the early spring is better because they like milder weather. It's important to adhere to
the suggested planting instructions for your particular onion type because different
varieties have varied needs for spacing. Leaving enough space between onion sets
enables optimum air circulation, lowering the illness risk and enhancing bulb
development. Watering regularly and weed control
For onion plants to thrive, regular watering and weeding are essential. Lesson:
Watering onions frequently is necessary to keep the soil continuously moist but not
soggy. Underwatering can prevent bulb development, while overwatering can cause
rotting. Also, it's critical to keep the onion beds clear of weeds in order to avoid
competition for nutrients and lower the danger of illness.
Harvesting at the Appropriate Moment
An important gardening lesson is when to pick onions. Lesson: Onions are ready to
be harvested when the tops begin to turn yellow and collapse. It's important to be
patient because fully ripe onions have higher flavor and preservation potential. It's
crucial to cure the onions by drying them in a well-ventilated environment after
harvest.
Conclusion:
I've learned a lot about plot selection, soil preparation, timing, spacing, watering,
weed control, and correct harvesting from gardening and planting onions. The
success of the harvest depends critically on each stage of the process. I've learned
more about the delicate balance needed to grow strong, tasty onions via experience
and observation. These lessons will continue to help me as I go on my ongoing
learning path that is gardening.
Remember, everyone can experience the satisfaction of creating their own garden
full of delectable onions and other crops with careful planning, attention to detail, and
a love for caring plants.
