MATTER

Matter is everything around you. The air you breathe, the water you drink and the object you use in
your everyday living. The term Matter refers to anything that occupies space and has mass- in other words, the
“stuff” that the universe is made of. Mass is the amount of matter in an object and the measure occupied by an
object is called volume. Terms such as big, little, long, or short are used to describe volumes. All matter has
mass and volume.
