CANTEEN MANAGEMENT AND OPERATION

Canteen Management and operation is one of the ancillary services of our school where

variety of food products are available for canteen sale. Mrs Corazon C. Higoy, being the canteen

coordinator manages operation to make sure different variety of food products are available for the

children operation to makes sure that all foods delivered are clean, nutritious and healthy foods.

Last January 2023,she worked on the business permit of our canteen to ensure that canteen

operation in our school will continue for the children. She spent Three Thousand, Six hundred Fifty-

five(3,655.00) pesos in complying all the requirements. All food handlers were convened, and they were

briefed with all the necessary standard in food preparation, the right foods to be served for sale every

day.She gave emphasis on the disadvantages of salty food, sweet foods, oily foods which should be

prevented and even the use of other condiments in food preparation. According to her, it is the quality

of foods to be served rather that the quality.

I am very much proud because my mother is one among the food handlers that delivers food

every day in our school canteen. I know how she prepare her products as she prepares every day our

foods at home. Me and the rest of my classmates used to buy foods that she prepared during recess
time

because it is our favorite and nutritious. Among the foods she prepared every day are pancit, shanghai

lumpia, burger, shomai and arrozcaldo. Others are banana que, barbeque, salad, boiled eggs, variety of

biscuits and fruit juices.

All I can say to my schoolmate is “Let us all patronized our canteen products if you want to

grow healthy and strong”.
