“This investment will help move
people and goods, improve safety and
benefit front-line services, like air am-
bulance and wildfire fighting, as well as
making for more secure access to remote
and Indigenous communities,” said Rob
Fleming, Minister of Transportation and
Infrastructure.
The Province is investing $19.8 mil-
lion in the latest round of BC Air Access
Program projects, which will support
40 projects at 29 air facilities, improving
safety, security and passenger facilities,
ie runway extensions, improved runway
lighting, pavement improvements, ter-

ports, heliports and water aerodromes.

posing racism and promoting a society
that is thoughtful, inclusive and just.
Anti-racism education helps people
learn how to practise identifying, chal-
lenging, preventing, eliminating and
changing the values, structures, policies,
programs, practices and behaviours that
perpetuate racism and hate.
There are many ways for individu-
als to learn more and to get involved in
addressing racism and discrimination in
their local communities. The Resilience
BC Anti-racism Network provides educa-
tional opportunities, tools and resources
for their communities.
Earlier this year, the BC Govt launched
the K-12 Anti-Racism Action Plan to put
tools and resources into the hands of
parents, teachers and students to better
equip them to be active agents of change
in their communities.
Government is tackling systemic rac-
ism through legislation. Introduced in
2022, the Anti-Racism Data Act makes it
possible to collect race-based data to help
identify gaps and barriers to accessing
