    The "Martilyo Gang" operated from 2011 to 2014 using a modus operandi of smashing jewelry store display cases with hammers to steal products. Led by Sulayman Dimapuro alias "Jomar or Bryan Utap" and his wife Alamada Warda, the gang's 18 members targeted jewelry stores because their glass displays made goods visible and easy to grab.     The modus operandi "Martilyo Gang" started from 2011 upto 2014. Martilyo gang was also
    known as Utap Robbery gang becuase it was famously founded by Sulayman Dimapuro alias
    "Jomar or Bryan Utap", and his 18 members,

    Including his wife Alamada Warda

    11 were already arrested and six members are still at large, namely Edvon Catamura, alias
    Uman, Nasdurin Andal, alias Mama, Guiller Mendoza, alias Tagadel, Danny Talib, alias Alex
    Dimalin, Tho Magulamas, alias Gadali and Pedro Padao while one was killed.

    But.. on May 11, 2017 Sulayman was arrest not with his robbery acts but with illegal drug
    pushing.

    Sulayman was arrested by illegal drugs pushing. From the statement of Metro Manila police
    chief director Oscar Abayalde, that they shifts their illegal activities from robbery to illegal
    drug pushing was because of the heat and the awareness of the people in their identity that
    have captured by the CCTV.

    They choose jewelry stores to rob because jewelry stores display their products at a glass
    cabinet, visible for the customers and an open target for the Martilyo Gang.

    But even the founder of this modus operandi was already caught there were still cases of
    martilyo gang after him.

    Becuase The ideology he set was very influencial and and easily be adopted by some
    criminal..
