Mission Evaluation

1. Apple Inc.

"To bring the best user experience to its customers through its innovative hardware,
software, and services."

Evaluation: The company's dedication to quality and innovation across the board is
emphasized in the statement. This goal statement is consistent with Apple's solid reputation for
creating high-quality products and offering first-rate customer support. The statement might not,
however, address other general concerns that customers and stakeholders are becoming more
concerned about, such social responsibility and environmental sustainability.

Apple has also come under fire for its labor policies, notably in its supplier chain. Although
the corporation has taken steps to enhance its labor policies, these challenges are not
specifically addressed in its mission statement. Overall, Apple's mission statement does a good
job of communicating the company's emphasis on innovation and customer experience, but it
could stand to include a more comprehensive assessment of how the company's actions affect
society and the environment.

2. Patagonia Inc.

"Build the best product, cause no unnecessary harm, use business to inspire and
implement solutions to the environmental crisis."

Evaluation: The company's dedication to social responsibility and environmental sustainability

is reflected in Patagonia's mission statement. The assertion places a strong emphasis on the
value of creativity and acting with initiative to address environmental concerns. The mission
statement of Patagonia reflects its commitment to promoting sustainability and minimizing its
negative effects on the environment. The statement also underlines the significance of creating
top-notch items, which is crucial for the success of the business.

However, Patagonia's mission statement may be too narrowly focused on environmental

issues and not address other aspects of the company's operations or goals. Additionally, the
company's high standards for sustainability and social responsibility may limit its growth and
profitability. Overall, Patagonia's mission statement effectively communicates the company's
commitment to sustainability and social responsibility, but it could benefit from a broader
perspective on its impact on society and its long-term goals.
3. Amazon.com Inc.

"To be Earth's most customer-centric company, where customers can find and discover
anything they might want to buy online, and endeavors to offer its customers the lowest possible
prices."

Evaluation: Amazon's mission statement emphasizes the company's focus on customer service
and providing customers with a wide range of products at competitive prices. The statement
highlights the company's commitment to innovation and using technology to improve the
customer experience. Amazon has built a strong reputation for its customer service and
selection, which are reflected in its mission statement.

The statement, however, can be overly concentrated on the company's business

objectives and neglect to address more general concerns like social responsibility or
environmental sustainability. Amazon has come under fire for how it treats its employees and
how it affects small businesses, which may go against its promise to providing excellent
customer service. Furthermore, the emphasis on low costs that the business places could come
at the expense of quality or ethical sources. Overall, Amazon's mission statement clearly
conveys the company's focus on innovation and customer service, but it could stand to include
a more comprehensive assessment of how the company affects society and the environment.
