AUD689 ADVANCED AUDITING

GROUP ASSIGNMENT

SPECIFIC GUIDELINES:
1. The main objective of this group assignment is for the students to be exposed/to learn about
the following five topics:
- Shariah audit
- Money laundering
- Transnational audit
- Whistleblower Protection Act 2010
- Industry revolution 4.0/5.0 and its impact on auditing profession
- Fraudulence Financial Reporting- case study

Hence, the students are required to explore these topics and write down a report on these
topics.

2. To prepare the report, the students could refer to ANY available resources/references. Keep
exploring!

3. To inject some academic ‘feel’ to the report, you must refer to at least two (2) academic-
related articles for each topic (so in total you are going to have six (6) articles); which may
comprise of research articles published in either local and/or international academic
journals or research papers from seminars/conferences. You can explore to search for the

These articles are to be attached as appendices in your report.

4. Format for the report: (10%)

a. In the range of 15-20 pages (excluding appendices)
b. Arial font 11 or Times New Roman font 12
c. 1.5 spacing

5. Suggested format of your report is as follows. This format is just a suggestion, feel free to
add more things in the report.

You can be creative in presenting the report. It is up to you what kinds of content you want to
include and how you want to structure the contents of the three topics in your report.

ii. Table of content
iii. Introduction
 iv. Presentation of facts, discussion, opinion, etc.
v. Conclusions
vi. References
vii. Appendices
6. Presentation (10%) – week 13

GENERAL GUIDELINES:
1. Each group should consists 5-6 students.
2. All groups are required to submit softcopy of the project report. Submission of the report will
be made via e mail before or on 30 JUNE 2022. Convert the report to pdf format.
3. No marks will be awarded if plagiarism is detected. Refrain from copy and paste from any
source. Marks will be deducted for late submission.
4. Learn how to do proper citations in your write up and proper way of writing down the
references. Examples of citation and referencing format is attached below. For full APA
