eraser magnet
nail metal paper clip

penny
Procedure:
1. Choose 3 objects to be tested. Write the names of the 3 objects on the
chart under Observations.
2. Examine each object. Record your prediction on the chart. Circle yes if you
expect the object to stick to the magnet. Circle no if you do not expect the
object to stick to the magnet.
4. Place the magnet inside the bag and gently shake the bag.
5. Pull out the magnet. Observe the objects that stuck to it.
6. Record your results. Circle yes for the objects that stuck to the magnet.
7. Repeat steps 4–6 until there are no objects left in the bag that stick to
the magnet.
9. Record your results. Circle yes for the objects that stuck to the magnet.
10. Remove any remaining objects from the bag. Keep them in a separate
group.
11. On the chart, circle no for the objects that did not stick to the magnet.
