INTRODUCTION:

This research was made to find out how big of an impact social media has caused

towards the academic performance of Special Science Curriculum students of Surigao City

National High School. It was made to understand if the availability of social media became a

big help for students as it opens up a lot of information for different topics or if it became a

huge problem as it can be easily overused.

STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM:

Impact of Social Media on the Academic Performance of Special Science Curriculum

students of Surigao City National High School, school year 2022-2023. The influence of

social media on students depend on how and what they use it for. There are students who use

it for cheating while others use it to widen their knowledge on certain topics. Due to social

media being available for almost every student, it is always used by them for academic

purposes.
