1. How are you as a student aiming to be a teacher? what will you be as a teacher in the

future?

At first teaching was not really my passion also, I just want to share that my age right

now is I am now 30 years old so I just got back to study after working for how many years

then suddenly my family offered me to continue my studies. Before when I first studied in

college, my course was Journalism so it’s all about writing, documenting and reading and it’s

not really my passion or the course I really wanted to pursue back then. Suddenly we had a

financial problem that time that’s why I need to stop studying and started working so that we

can support our daily expenses and my sister’s studies. Since then, I worked for 2years, after

that I got pregnant. When my son started studying that is the time, I felt I really want to teach

because I was also his teacher back then up until now. My previous job was a Trainer, I was

teaching the new hire employees about the product, account or job that they are going to

handle during their training days. I had that kind of job for 1 year or 1 and half year, I think.

That is the time that I realized that my passion is really to teach. When I had the opportunity

to study again, I chose Education and before I want to get the English Major because my

previous jobs were all in BPO Industry or Call Center Agent. That’s why I am more

confident to teach in English but then I think that it’s going to be hard for me to teach

English. So, I chose Major in Physical Education because back when I was in high school or

even when I was working, I really love joining some extra curricular activities especially in
sports and even dancing, intramurals etc. So, when I started learning this course it was a bit

hard for me back then because we had the pandemic crisis so it’s hard to learn online when

we can’t really apply what we learned like for example basketball. I’m still aiming to be a

teacher; I’m still looking forward to be a teacher or a coach in any varsity players in school in

the future. To be honest the new learnings that I always experience right now is very

interesting. I’ve really learned a lot especially when the face-to-face classes got back because

all of the physical activity that I have learned during our online classes this is the only time

that we are actually applying it. This is the only time that I actually enjoying whatever we

learned from online classes. I really fell in love with this course, I really love it. That’s why I

am dedicated to finish it and motivated to finish my studies.

What kind of a teacher am I going to be in the future? Knowing myself, I am a very

cheerful person because I always wants my employees or students in the future to be very

cheerful as well, I want to see them shine on what they really love what to do. I want to be

their cheerleader teacher because a cheerleader is very enthusiastic. That kind of teacher

wants to see them shine and I want them show positiveness in life so that they will be more

positive in life as well. I’ll make sure that I will be an approachable teacher, I’ll be also strict

if I have to.
