Film Review – Schindler’s List

Would you infiltrate in the German Nazi Party and bribe SS officers to try and make your
fortune while giving a helping hand to the chased people of the Second World War? That is
what Oskar Schindler does in Schindler’s List, taking an insane amount of risk to give the
Nazi war machine a reason not to take out innocent peoples’ life.

The film being based on true events presents us the utterly disgusting things done to jewish
people in the Second World War and the efforts of the main character trying to save as many
lives as he can. The historically correct plot carries us through the two sided story of Oskar
Schindler, starred by Liam Neeson who enjoys the benefits of an industrialist of the Nazi
party and the nouveau riche lifestyle, while sweating blood to build up his own enamelware
factory, employing jewish people as laborers, saving them from the death trains that take
them to concentration camps.

Alongside the unrepeatable performance of Liam Neeson, Schindler’s List uses a variety of
visual effects to create an exceptional atmosphere. One of the methods includes the director,
Steven Spielberg’s request, to shoot the movie as a documentary and an action film at the
same time. This gave it an unprecedented ambience in this topic, while all of it was recorded
in black and white, which made it so special for me.

Schindler’s List is a must-watch movie. If you want to see a true and atypical story from the
point of view of a Nazi party member in the Second World War, then you should definetely
put it on the top of your list.
